{"id":3780,"date":"2016-06-26T05:27:04","date_gmt":"2016-06-26T09:27:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/unoportartfilms.org\/?page_id=3780"},"modified":"2024-07-08T08:02:31","modified_gmt":"2024-07-08T12:02:31","slug":"2013-overview-and-program","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/unoportartfilms.org\/en\/2013-overview-and-program","title":{"rendered":"2013 Overview and Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The mini-theme of UPAF2013 is \u201cDisability on Film.\u201d Through two amazing films: a documentary (\u201cDeaf Jam\u201d) and a comedy drama (\u201c39 Thief\u201d), we get to meet the vibrant NY deaf teen community as well as a Japanese young man with autism and his brothers.<\/p>\n<p>All non-Japanese language films at UPAF will screen with Japanese and English (if not in English originally) subtitles. For the Q&amp;A session after the outdoor screening of \u201cDeaf Jam,\u201d we will have volunteer sign language interpreters, so we especially welcome Japanese deaf audiences.
