We are looking for volunteers in the following areas in each UPAF year:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>English-to-Japanese film translation<\/strong> (can be done remotely, May to August)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Subtitling<\/strong> (Only if you have and know how to use FCP or Adobe Premiere. Can be done remotely. June to July\/August)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Flyer and poster distribution<\/strong> (residents of Tamano, Okayama, Kurashiki, and Takamatsu, July to August)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Crowd control &amp; venue setup staff<\/strong> (if you live nearby or if you can come by your own means, and can volunteer at least for 2 days during UPAF)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ticket booth\/registration staff<\/strong> (if you live nearby or if you can come by your own means, and can volunteer at least for 2 days during UPAF)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Interpreting volunteer during UPAF<\/strong> (When we have very few guests who don\u2019t understand Japanese, we ask bilingual volunteer staff to interpret the Q&amp;A personally by whispering. The host will interpret otherwise) (if you live nearby or if you can come by your own means, and can volunteer at least for 2 days during UPAF)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Japanese sign language interpreter<\/strong> (if you live nearby or if you can come by your own means, and can volunteer even for 1 day during UPAF)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Writers who want to write about the films screened at UPAF<\/strong> (if you live nearby or if you can come by your own means, and can volunteer at least for 2 days during UPAF). We will feature the good pieces on this website!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The reasons for volunteering can be anything like\u2026<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; I\u2019m interested in how a\u00a0film festival is run.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; I love films!<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; I want to make Japanese friends.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; I love events!<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; I want to contribute to the town and the local community.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; I want to experience Uno, a town where things are happening.<\/p>\n<p>Please email to <a href=\"mailto:info@unoportartfilms.org\">info@unoportartfilms.org<\/a> if you\u2019re interested.
