Synopsis:<\/h4>\n

\"EVC<\/a>EVC youth producers create an intimate portrait of the psychological impact that deportation, incarceration, and substance abuse have on the separation of their families. They analyze the physical and economic effects of family separation through Luis\u2019s story of immigration and deportation. Ana\u2019s story of separation reveals the psychological impact that substance abuse has on a family. Scarlett\u2019s story focuses on the emotional and social effects of separation through incarceration. By filming in their homes and neighborhoods, EVC students capture the trauma and struggles they face, while also showing the resilience and hope they carry in their daily lives.<\/p>\n
