After becoming a working adult, I restructured the events I experienced into a story of my own.
It focuses on my body’s and mind’s reactions to various encounters—such as the anxiety of a first adventure, the panic from unexpected events, or the sense of the present that becomes palpable precisely because of distance. From those chance encounters, what becomes visible is explored.
The narrative also delves into questions and discomforts that arise specifically because of one’s gender or nationality, sharing a perspective seen through the small frame of an individual. This perspective gradually connects the self to others.

Born in China in 1998, graduated from the Department of Imaging Arts and Science at Musashino Art University in 2021, and currently enrolled in the Graduate School of Fine Arts at Tokyo University of the Arts, specializing in Intermedia Art.
As a foreign resident in Japan, I have deeply felt the changes in landscapes brought about by environmental shifts due to relocation. When I am uncertain about my position or the direction I should take, I always feel a constant presence of the landscape. In this era of urbanization and globalization, I believe there are many people who have experienced similar feelings to mine.
Through my work, I strive to convey a message of reassurance, such as “Don’t worry, it’ll be okay” and “No one is an isolated island,” addressing the question of how to live as “just me.”
